From successful webinars to global partnerships, the community has grown stronger, fostering hope and empowerment for those living with vitiligo. This humble recap celebrates key milestones while looking forward with optimism.
Patient Safety Webinar Triumph
The standout Patient Safety Webinar earlier this year drew hundreds of participants, offering vital insights on managing vitiligo safely amid treatments and daily challenges. Experts shared evidence-based strategies, sparking meaningful discussions on skin protection and holistic care. Feedback highlighted its impact, with attendees praising the practical tools for enhancing quality of life.
World Vitiligo Day Highlights
Beyond Vitiligo proudly joined the Beautiligo Foundation’s event for World Vitiligo Day, amplifying voices and building solidarity in the fight against stigma. Chief Advocacy Officer Gaone Matewa elevated the conversation further by joining Nomasundu Mjadu on iKala FM 95.7, reaching thousands with messages of resilience and access to care. These collaborations underscored vitiligo’s place in global health dialogues.
GlobalSkin 2025 Representation
Beyond Vitiligo at GlobalSkin 2025. We’re proud to share that Tebogo “Tebby” Mphela is representing Beyond Vitiligo at the GlobalSkin Conference and speaking on a topic close to our mission: The Psychological Burden of Vitiligo. This conversation is not just academic; it reflects the lived realities many of us face and builds on Beyond Vitiligo’s ongoing efforts to support mental wellness within the vitiligo community. We’re honoured to be part of this global platform.
Gratitude to Global Allies
Thank you to the World Health Organization (WHO) for recognising the need for better access to care for all skin conditions, including vitiligo. We appreciate @drtedros ongoing support in raising awareness about skin diseases and the importance of equal attention in global health efforts. Let’s keep pushing for real change in how vitiligo and other skin conditions are treated and understood.
