It takes time to accept your appearance that you were not born with. Having conversations to myself: what happened to me? why me?, but still can’t find answers to my questions because no one can really pin point what is the cause of vitiligo.Vitiligo has left emotional scars in my life, bad childhood memories and almost a shattered future. It takes hard work and courage to fulfill self acceptance. It took me a lot of time to change my persona in order to change the world.
One of the main objectives of Team BV is to create a platform of vitiligo education to eradicate stigma on vitiligo in South African communities. Lets live Beyond Vitiligo is a call for every one of us to make a difference in their communities and love one another.
